Many companies are moving employees out of their downtown Portland commercial real estate spaces as protests & tensions rise but we are also seeing multiple companies opt to sell their Portland commercial spaces:
What does this mean for the future of downtown Portland Commercial Real Estate? What’s the solution?
The downtown Portland condo market is also starting to soften. I’ve had two buyers move their searches from downtown to the outlying areas due to the violence occurring downtown. Even Portland’s Mayor, Ted Wheeler, is relocating from his downtown Portland condo. What all this means to the long term values of downtown Portland real estate is yet to be known but I, for one, hope we can get the violence and property destruction under control while still allowing citizens their constitutional right to freedom of speech and their right to protest. When does a protest = a riot though? These are trying times. Love eachother Portland!
